Letter to Samuel Chappell. 1816 Aug. 10.

Letter to Samuel Chappell (c. 1782-1834), music seller and publisher, by way of Mr. Swan, who was helping Wesley arrange his precarious finances. The letter refers to the pending death of Wesley's youngest son and asks that Chappell defer his bill of 30 pounds by a fortnight. Wesley refers to upcoming performances in Norwich, Yarmouth, and Ipswich that will enable him to pay his debt.
